Zachenberg

Zachenberg, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, is an oasis of peace and quiet. Away from traffic noise, visitors will find a place for rest and relaxation. Sleepy villages, mild stimulating climate and air rich in ozone make for perfect conditions.

Green meadows and beautiful forests surround the villages in the area, particularly Gotteszell-Bahnhof, Köckersried, Zachenberg, Kleinried, Auerbach, Muschenried, Giggenried, Dietzberg sowieTriefenried, Furth and Zierbach.

Holidays in Summer
There are well cared for paths with benches and areas to sit and relax. There is a stone labyrinth at Bornstein to discover as well as the Chapel of the 14 Holy Helpers in the forest near Eckersberg. Guests will also find tennis courts, skittles, children’s playgrounds, Kneipp therapy and forest and garden festivals with brass bands.

And Everything for Winter Guests
Snowy walks through the winter forest, curling and skating on well prepared natural ice, disco skating at the skating rink or tobogganing for the whole family - Zachenberg is worth visiting even in winter.

There is alpine skiing at the Rauher Kulm and snowboarders are provided for too. And if you are not an expert, then take the opportunity to learn to ski. You can hire the necessary equipment here. And cross country skiers will find 60 kilometres of prepared trails.
