Top 10 in the ARBERLAND

The abundance of activities and sights in the ARBERLAND is plenty and varied:

18 summits of thousand metres, over 750 years of glass tradition, about 1000 cycling kilometres and more than 24000 hectare national park area. The choice is not easy, but there are some things you should not miss on your holiday in the ARBERLAND.

Like the dreamlike 390° panoramic view from the Großer Arber on the Bavarian bohemian forest sea or a walk through the bizarre white quartz rock at the Großer Pfahl. Meet the “natives” wolf and lynx in the National Park Centre Falkenstein and wath the activities of the bats at the NaturparkWelten Bayerisch Eisensten. At a tour through the mine in the Silberberg, equipped with helmet and tunic, it means "Good Luck!" for all adventures.

The castle ruin Altnußberg and the castle ruin Weißenstein tell about adventurers of the past and make stories of knights reality. The glass history also shapes the ARBERLAND. Fell the lively fascination of glass in the heart of the glass road at a walk through the crystal forest (Regen) or a visit at the crystal barn (Viechtach) and immerse into the century old history "Bavarian glass makers" ath the glas museum Frauenau.
