A Winter Sport on Grass: Biathlon in ArberLand

Skiroller unterwegs im ArberLand

In ArberLand, biathlon is not just a winter sport. The wheels are put on the cross country skis, the gun tied to the back and then the fun starts with the summer biathlon in the Hohenzollern Skistadion at the foot of the Great Arber.

Biathlon joined the ranks of the popular sports some time ago. More and more people enjoy the combination of running and shooting which requires stamina, fitness and concentration. Anyone who wants to follow in the footsteps of successful biathletes like Magdalena Neuner, Kati Wilhelm or Michael Greis in the Bavarian Forest doesn’t even need snow to do it.

Eight trails and 30 shooting lanes
At the ski training centre at the Hohenzollern Ski Stadium at the Arbersee, biathletes on roller skis can glide through the green countryside. Summer biathletes can let off steam on 8 different trails and a shooting range with 30 lanes.

And any lack of precision in shooting can be corrected with expert help.

Amateur biathletes and curious beginners are all catered for at the Hohenzollern Ski Stadium. Companies looking for an employee event with a difference will also find perfect facilities here.
