Museums in ArberLand

Glass, agriculture and railways: "Experience history. Tell the story of the olden days!" is the motto of the museums in ArberLand. Not without reason: the Bavarian Forest nurtures tradition – and has a lot of stories to tell.

Telling the exciting story of an area in an accessible way: that is the job of the museums in ArberLand. Bringing history to life: a sparse, long disappeared past returns. In fully furnished farmhouses you can still see the old chests, cooking pots and toys in their usual place.

The "Niederbayerische Landwirtschaftsmuseum" in Regen depicts the agricultural life of time gone by.

Beautiful Pieces of Baroque and Art Nouveau
The Bavarian Forest means glass. In the glass museum in Frauenau you can see the endless variety of glass art. And in the glass chateau in Theresienthal there are wonderful pieces from the Baroque and Art Nouveau eras.

There are plenty of things to do – and not only on rainy days. There is the Local Railway Museum in Bayerisch Eisenstein and the "Kristallmuseum" in Viechtach.
